Today, on Jewish Refugee Day, I rose in the House to commemorate the almost 1 million Jews who fled Iran and Arab countries due to religious persecution.
I will always stand with Canada’s Jewish communities and with organizations such as B’nai Brith to remember the terrible injustices committed on Jews across the world and to combat the forces of hate and anti-Semitism.
We must remember these terrible moments in history so they are never repeated again.
