MP Mendicino Rises in the House in honour of Black History Month

It was an honour to rise in the House of Commons during Black History Month to pay homage to a neighborhood icon Kay Livingstone. Her advocacy and humanitarian work truly broke down societal barriers for black Canadians here in Eglinton-Lawrence and across Canada. Her legacy has been memorialized with a plaque at the Bedford Parkette in Eglinton-Lawrence and on a Canadian stamp which was unveiled on February 17.
