Nothing compares to spending the holiday season with families and friends in Eglinton-Lawrence. I’ve had the great privilege of taking part in a number of community celebrations throughout the riding, and I want to take this opportunity to highlight some wonderful events.
Christmas cheer in Fairbank Village
I had a wonderful time lighting the Christmas tree and singing some Christmas carols with our friends in Fairbank Village. Thanks to the Fairbank BIA for putting the “Light Up the Holidays” event for our neighbours to enjoy.

Wishing our Jewish neighbours a happy Chanukah
Grateful to my friend Rabbi Yossi and Beth Torah Congregation for the warm welcome and opportunity to offer good wishes to the community during Chanukah.
Many thanks to my friend Rabbi Chaim Strauchler for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to wish the families of Shaarei Shomayim a happy and warm holiday season.

Christmas lunch with seniors at the Columbus Centre
Happy to serve pasta, cake and coffee to seniors in our annual Christmas lunch at the Columbus Centre. Lots of cheers and warm wishes from my friend Councillor Mike Colle (Ward 8). Buon Natale a tutti!

Good tidings and good eats
Good food is a must for a great holiday season. Eglinton-Lawrence has plenty of amazing small businesses that provide our neighbours excellent food to share with families and friends.
I recommend checking out Zito’s, R Bakery and Odessa Deli & Desserts for great food for all seasons.

Christmas music at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
I had the fantastic opportunity of attending two wonderful musical performances at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church over the holidays. On December 19th, the congregation enjoyed tenor Michael Castaldo and the Odin String Quartet’s majestic performance.

On Christmas Eve, my family and I enjoyed the choir’s fantastic rendition of Christmas carols.
Keeping up with local youth at Lawrence Heights
It’s always a tremendous joy to catch up with local youth in our community. Time and time again, I’m humbled by their talents and energy. During the holiday season, I stopped by Lawrence Heights Community Centre to check out artwork by talented young artists (like Ashna, pictured above), as well as to play some basketball.
