Canadian Poverty Reduction Strategy

The Government of Canada is committed to developing a Canadian Poverty Reduction Strategy to reduce poverty and improve the economic well-being of all Canadians so they have a fair chance to succeed.

In order to support the development of the Strategy, we have launched a public consultation process to ensure that the diverse needs of Canadians and the different approaches used to reduce poverty across the country are considered.

As part of this campaign, we are launching online and in-person consultations with Canadians to discuss key issues related to poverty.

All Canadians are invited to participate in the online consultation, which will run from February to June 2017.
