Timmins The Daily Press link: Parliamentary secretary to Minister of Infrastructure tours city facilities
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure toured the Timmins Transit garage on Tuesday to check on the improvements made through Infrastructure Canada investments on the transit system here in Timmins.
“Well, we have been partnering on these projects and we look forward to doing it more,” said Marco Mendicino, who is also Liberal MP for the Eglinton-Lawrence riding in Toronto. “We have the Investing in Canada Infrastructure plan which is a $180 billion 12-year plan. We are seeing over $12 billion invested in the province of Ontario and a good fair share is coming to the City of Timmins.
“So we hope we can continue to partner both with you here in Timmins and also the province of Ontario so we can keep the public transit growing and we know how important it is. Thank you so much for showing me around the Timmins Transit garage.”
